The Hobbit - Sting

Hello Ring Bearers,

I haven't (yet) seen the movie but I'm really enjoying book. Bilbo Baggins is my favourite character and again I thought why don't I make his sword. I thought I was crazy to make the Prince of Persia Dagger but to attempt a project like this took things a step further. The project itself took about 10 days and a lot of concentration. It was great fun but hard work to accomplish what I had in mind. The blade hasn't yet glowed blue and I'm guessing that's a good sign.

Prince of Persia Dagger

Hello veiwers,

At first this was a totaly mad idea, but when I started the project I began to think this is actully going to work. Again this project only took a few tools, 48 hours and one picture as a guide. It was surprisingly easy to make and even I was impressed. Are you?

With electricians tape and some spray paint I achieved the look I wanted. For making the stand  I cut out the pieces then glued them with No Nails wood glue. Then I wood burned the details in the centre.

Enjoy and tell me what you think.

Clash of the Titans Swords

Hi there Kraken Slayers,

These swords I made after watching the movie which you may have seen. The sword of the Olympians was the first one that I made with my older brother. The second was the sword of the hero Perseus which only took two days to make and looks amazing. Now if you have tried such a project like this, don't worry if it doesn't turn out as what you had in mind. Take your time, be patient and concentrate and each project will turn out better then the last with pratice.  So try it yourself and with your powerful blade kill a giant Scorpion, behead a Gorgan and Slay the Kraken.

Cutlery Sets

My first spoon, and I know what
you're thinking.
 Hi Guys,

Here are some of the projects I started out with. I thought cutlery would be a good place to start as it looked rather simple. The first spoon I made was without proper tools so it wasn't easy. When I got a box full of handy equiment from my Grandad (who has done some carpentry for many years.) I made another spoon which was slightly more sucsessful than the last. Adding to the spoon I made a knife and fork also with the same tools and the set now hangs in my Grandparent's kitchen. The second set I  made was for a family who had recently stayed for a week. While they were here I made a shield and two knives for one of their boys and a few weeks after that I made a cutlery set for their three girls and youngest boy.
This is the first cutlery set I made.
The second set and the best
so far.

designed by me and the owner.

Hope you guys enjoy and why not have a go.

Captain America Shield

 Hi guys!

Now this was one of the first projects I did myself. After watching Thor (god of thunder) and Captain America (The First Avenger) we started placing the Avengers in my family and you can already guess who I am. So I thought why not I'll make his shield. It took a few weeks, effort and commitment until...
So...COOL!
TA DA! What do you think?
STEPS:

1.First I was obsessed enough to attempt such a crazy idea.

2.Then bought a piece of hard board wood.

3.Drew out a 24" by 24" circle and bravely jigsawed it out.

4.Then attached the handle and that alone looked impressive.

5.After that I drew a slightly smaller circle and did the same.
My Shield

6.Making the centre circle was easy enough to finish off the shield.

7.Last but not least was painting it starting with the main body (red), the second piece (red and white) and then the centre star I drew on and painted (blue and white).

The outcome was amazing to me and the family and I have enjoyed using it ever since.

pretty close to the original
Try it yourself and please leave a comment!
