Sting and Scabbard Part 2

Hello again viewers,

After doing a few more touches here and there and burning some details I became all the more pleased with both the sword and the scabbard. The previous Sting I made was about 24 inches but this one is about 30 inches. So the first one is more of Hobbit proportions and this one is how big it would be to us humans. This is the first sword I made with my new method but you can be sure it won't be the last.

Then wood burnt them

As you can see I managed to find a small
piece of wood to cover the crack

Even I am still amazed and
it's still far from finished

Varnishing them both with yacht varnish

Here's after I stained the sword and scabbard

Staining the hilt was pretty difficult and 
it really didn't help with hiccups

I even added a belt loop on the back
