Star Spangled Shield Part 2

 Sup Supers!,
HYDRA...here I come!!!

Here is part two of the 'Star Spangled Shield'. Now drawing the design and attaching the handle were both slightly difficult, but when it came to painting the shield, things became a lot more challenging. However I slowly made progress taking everything one step at a time and eventually I had completed the new project.

Once again, enjoy the pictures and ALL THE BEST!

Star Spangled Shield Part 1

I sooo wish I had his job!

Hey there Soldiers, Patriots and Superheroes,

After making Cap's shields from 'The Avengers' and 'The Winter Soldier' I wanted to try and make Cap's very first shield. I got the idea after trying to think what I should do with a spare piece from the wooden sword box. So after studying the size and length of the piece I thought 'Hey' why don't I make a medieval shape shield. Then I thought a little more and thought 'HEY' why I don't I make Cap's first shield! This will be a two part post so stayed tuned for the next one. Enjoy the photos!

I wish I had my own museum too!
So to start with I drew out my shape on the piece of wood

Then I tried drawing where I
wanted the stripes to be

And then stared jigsawing it out
Almost there...

Then after cutting it out I drew
the new design I had in mind

Then penned it in
Using hard board, tape and screws
I constructed the handle

Tah-Dah!!!

And there we have it...

...For now.

A Few Odd, Random, Other bits

Hey Guys!!!

After working on a few bits recently I've uploaded some photos of some new projects. Below I've added a sign I made for the same shop I made the clock for. There's also three projects I made at Dereham Community Hub Workshop. Hope you like the pictures and stay tuned for the next post.

Till next time,

A wooden table I constructed with one
of the carpenters at the workshop

We did a coat of wax after painting it

We also added a bit of detail inside the heart

A piece I cut out and used for the back of a chair

My very first wooden chair

The workshop

Our wooden table

The beginning of another 'shield'
One the carpenters suggested that to get the shape
I wanted I should draw it first then cut round it

Adding the handle was quite difficult
but somehow I managed it

Then I stained it with some vintage colours

And so once again, I made another 'shield'
